Empowering Communities for a Better Tomorrow
FLEP is dedicated to advancing socioeconomic development in the Busoga region by tackling poverty and gender-based violence (GBV) while promoting financial independence. Through targeted programs and partnerships, we equip individuals—especially adolescent girls and young women—with the skills and resources they need to improve their lives and contribute to the well-being of their families and communities.
What We Do
- Combatting Poverty and GBV:
- Provide access to income-generating skills and startup kits for adolescent girls and young women.
- Reduce economic dependence, a leading driver of GBV in the region.
- Promoting Financial Stability:
- Link individuals to government and civil society organization (CSO) interventions for ongoing support.
- Advocate for financial independence as a foundation for health and economic development.
- Enhancing Overall Well-Being:
- Improve access to healthcare, education, and nutrition to promote holistic development.
- Integrate socioeconomic empowerment into health programs to enhance productivity and reduce violence.
